| Sundaram Iyer Seethalakshmi, 72 |
| Having been a teacher for 30 years, Mdm Seetha began her retirement by helping the Hindu Endowments Board start up Saraswathy Kindergarten, with assistance from SINDA, and went on to be its principal for nine years. She was also the recipient of the 2007 Excellent Meritorious Service Award from the Hindu Endowments Board. She currently teaches part-time at Sarada Kindergarten, conducts a KidsRead programme at Jing Shan Primary School and tutors at Galilee Centre in Ang Mo Kio. |

| Tan Tui Gee, 66 |
| Returning to work as a Physical Education and Civics Education teacher after retiring at 62 for a grand total of three days, Tui Gee continues to lead life with vigour and passion. He pursues his hobbies rigorously and goes to great lengths to excel in them – cycling, photography and Bonsai cultivation. Many of his photos have been featured in exhibitions. Tui Gee also helped set up the Bonsai Club at Yuhua Community Centre and beautify the garden at Dunman High School where he teaches. |

| William Wan Kok Tang, 64 |
| Since turning 60, Dr Wan, who is a lawyer and pastor, has tried sky diving, scuba diving and SNIPE racing, and is keen to try more extreme adventures. Earlier this year, he wrote a book called ‘Pastoral Reflections’ which raised RM 70,000 in donations for Perbutuhan Perkhidamatan Intervensi Awal (PPIA), a school for children with Down Syndrome and autism in Malaysia where he volunteers regularly. |

| Rohaini Bte Mohamed, 61 |
After 30 years in the education sector as a Teacher’s Aide,
Mdm Rohaini now devotes her time to helping children in need at MENDAKI as well as mentoring children at RSVP Singapore – the Organisation of Senior Volunteers. In fact, she was awarded the MENDAKI Outstanding Volunteer Award in 2010 for her contributions over the past decade. |

| Ho Weng Toh, 91 |
| Having fought in World War II as a bomber pilot, Capt Ho continues his adventurous life, though along different paths. He now plots his travels around the world to visit old friends and make new ones, as well as explore new cultures. He also plays bridge competitively and plans to write his own memoirs soon. He keeps active through dance, singing and sports including billiards, snooker and swimming. |

| Geoffrey Kung Kuo Woo, 65 |
| After being retrenched at the age of 55, Geoffrey realised the importance of self-reliance. He went back to school and then, armed himself with a set of impressive financial certifications, started a new career. He also set up REVERSE (Re-Employing Valuable Experienced Retirees to Serve Elders), a co-operative group which encourages able seniors to help their less fortunate peers. |

| Roland Ng Chew Heng, 68 |
| Ever inquisitive and keen to learn, Roland started to pick up IT knowledge when he was 55. He now gives free courses to impart IT skills to seniors so they can stay relevant in the digital age, and formed an interest group for seniors called Tekka Goldies. An avid user of Facebook and Twitter himself, Roland encourages older Singaporeans to keep up with the times and communicate with the younger generations. |
